Substance Abuse Professional Evaluation for DOT – FMCSA, FTA, FRA, FAA, PHMSA, and USCG…

A DOT SAP Return to Work program is a process for helping individuals who have failed a DOT test return to safety-sensitive work positions in compliance with Department of Transportation regulations. This program involves a DOT SAP Evaluation.

The purpose of a DOT SAP evaluation is to assess an individual’s substance abuse history, make recommendations for treatment if necessary, and provide guidance on returning to safety-sensitive work in compliance with DOT regulations. A DOT SAP evaluation is a crucial step in returning to work after failing a DOT test..

During a DOT SAP evaluation, the individual will meet with a Substance Abuse Professional (SAP) who will assess their substance abuse history, provide recommendations for treatment if necessary, and help them develop a plan for returning to safety-sensitive work. The SAP will provide a report with recommendations for the individual’s Return to Work program.
