Addict Help: Homeopathy & Addiction

Homeopathy can give addict help in addiction recovery by assisting the body to regularize its biochemical function after drug use. Homeopathy does not make use of drugs and sees any drug use as being harmful to the good health and functioning of our bodies.

Homeopathy works by creating dilutions of various substances that create the same symptoms in the body as a toxin or disease. When the body rouses up its immune system in response to the homeopathic treatment, the body has extra capacity to fight off the disease or toxin. Homeopathy works with the body – gives it increased energy to fight off disease, drugs and toxins to regain good health.

Standard medications to overcome ill health are disease specific. Drugs are introduced into the body that are designed to attack specific targets – microbes, germs, and organisms, even parts of the body itself that are not functioning properly. When drugs are introduced so as to make contact with specific cells, to enable or disable them, it takes over control from the body. Drugs that are introduced into the body are called allopathic – the body sees them as being alien. Although many allopathic drugs create positive effects in the body, such as pain relief there is always a negative side. A balance has to be made between the benefit of using the drug and its adverse effects on the body. Homeopathic remedies create similar benefits, but cause no side effects.

Homeopathy can be used to overcome drug or alcohol addiction as a non- specific remedy. In treating addiction homeopathy creates increased vitality and energy generally throughout the body. Homeopathy stimulates energy levels that are depressed, and regulates anxiety. The more stabilized the body and mind become, the less a person is vulnerable to compulsive drug or alcohol use.

The causes of anxiety and depression today are complex. Social and personal issues take a great deal of sorting out before the mind and body can feel tension free, and completely relaxed. Homeopathic remedies work best when they are supported by holistic personal counseling to help untangle the emotional conflicts that lead to anxiety and depression in the modern day mind.

For addict help it is useful to work with both holistic methods. Homeopathy and counseling will work hand in hand to optimize results. Both energize and empower the individual to overcome the entanglements in both mind and body that lead to substance abuse. Substance abuse is only a self help remedy, an attempt to relieve emotional and physical tension and related pain.

When homeopathic remedies are used with holistic detox and counseling methods, the energies are combined, bringing bio chemicals in the body into equilibrium. Using allopathic drugs prevents the body from achieving a natural stability. Regardless of origin, whether prescription, or illicit, while drug use is retained as part of the balance, addict help will remain drug dependent, and to that extent, fail to deliver real addict help, independence and autonomy.

Holistic counseling, supported by homeopathy, can bring real addict help to overcome conflicted emotions, relieve emotional tension, leading to complete recovery from drug and alcohol dependency and addiction.
